New To CCLC >> What We Believe

  • The Bible is the message given to mankind from the Creator God. It serves as our final authority in all matters.

  • There is only one eternal God. He has revealed Himself to mankind as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus is the Living Word of God. He is the Savior of the world. He is the Son of God.

  • The Holy Spirit works today to convict, encourage and guide believers into a saving relationship with the Heavenly Father.

  • Salvation is a free gift (Grace) from the Creator God. It is found only in Jesus Christ.

  • The Church is a group of people who have recognized that they have absolutely no hope of spending eternity in Heaven without Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

  • We are committed to praying for the needs of our church and our community.

    • Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) - Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

    • I Timothy 2:1-4 (NIV) - I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

    • James 5:16 (NIV) - Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

  • We are committed to sharing the love of Christ by reaching out to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our church and our community.

    • James 1:27 (NIV) - Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

    • Philippians 2:4-5 (NIV) - Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

  • We are committed to changing the world around us by adhering to, and promoting the standards of the Word of God.

    • Isaiah 7:9 (NIV) - The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah's son. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.' "

    • Matthew 5:13-16 (NIV) - "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
